Microsoft has revealed September 2022 Xbox Games With Gold, which includes Gods Will Fall and gaming classic Portal 2.
As revealed on Xbox Wire, next month’s deals include some rock-solid classics with Portal 2 leading the way. Gods Will Fall is also included along with Double Kick Heroes and theme park designer Thrillville.
All four Games With Gold titles will be available in September to anyone with Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Starting September 1, Gods Will Fall and Thrillville will kick off.
Available for Xbox Series X|S, Gods Will Fall is a dark fantasy action game that lets you lead a band of Celtic warriors against the gods themselves, taking on monsters and deities alike in each of the god realms.
Thrillville is only available until September 15, but it allows you to build your own theme parks. Design roller coasters and go-karts, miniature golf courses – the whole nine metres. Keep tabs on your guests and make sure you keep them happy to keep your theme park profitable. It is an Xbox original title available through backwards compatibility. A must have for retro gamers.
Double Kick Heroes and Portal 2 will arrive in the middle of the month on September 16.
The rock adventure Double Kick Heroes combines shooter games with rhythm games for a completely new experience on Xbox Series X|S. There are 30 levels of madness and metal…so get your ax out and get ready to smash.
Portal 2 needs no introduction: it’s the classic sci-fi puzzler that pits its silent protagonist against the maniacal computer system, GLaDOS. An all-time classic with hours of gameplay and great co-op, you’ll want to get this one for sure.
IGN’s review of Portal 2 gave it 9.5/10 saying, “The original Portal benefited from its brevity. He had a concise story combined with clever first-person puzzle mechanics that challenged him to be creative as he pulled the trigger. Portal 2 makes the original look like the prototype it was. It’s packed with a larger cast of characters brought to life vividly through brilliant writing and some of the best voice acting in video games. Its puzzles are challenging without being unreasonable, and once you’re done with the single player, you’re in for one of the best co-op experiences on the market.”
As previously announced, Xbox Games With Gold will no longer include Xbox 360 games starting in October 2022, so be sure to get Portal 2. It’s a great game to end Xbox 360’s Games With Gold deals.
