Wednesday star Jenna Ortega has shared a behind-the-scenes snapshot of the new Netflix comedy, which shows the actress wearing a band-aid on her forehead.

While it may appear that the star suffered an injury during filming, fans can be sure that the cast is simply a fake prop worn by her character in episode one.

At the start of the series, [spoiler alert] Wednesday is injured during a fencing class at her new school, sustaining a small cut on her forehead.
The photo, which was originally posted by one of the show’s makeup artists, Nirvana Jalalvand, was also shared on Jenna’s Instagram Story following the release of the drama.
For those unfamiliar with the new series, it is the latest adaptation of the world of The Addams Family and follows Wednesday Addams as he attempts to harness his emerging psychic powers at Nevermore Academy, but is sidetracked by a monstrous murder spree that terrifies the entire community. the school.

The official synopsis reads: “Wednesday’s attempts to master his emerging psychic ability, foil a monstrous murder spree that has terrorized the local townand solves the supernatural mystery that engulfed her parents 25 years ago, all while navigating her highly tangled new relationships at Nevermore.”
Starring opposite Jenna in the highly anticipated series is Luis Guzmán as Wednesday’s father, Gomez Addams, and Catherine Zeta-Jones as her mother, Morticia Addams.

Meanwhile, Isaac Ordonez plays Wednesday’s younger brother, Pugsley Addams, while Game of Thrones’s Gwendoline Christie assumes the role of Larissa Weems.
Also in the cast is Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester and Joy Sunday as therapist Bianca Barclay.
Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams in the film franchise, also appears on the show as Nevermore Academy teacher Miss Thornhill.
Wednesday is already available to stream on Netflix.
