Splatoon 3

Summer is almost over, but the hot list of exciting upcoming Switch games shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, September and October have much of great titles reserved for us as you are about to see.

Below you’ll find a selection of featured titles handpicked by us, as well as many other games and accessories to be released in the coming months. Take a look and see if anything you like!

Temtem – September 6

A lot of similar Pokémon have appeared on Switch lately, and Temtem is the latest to try to tap into your nostalgia for taming monsters. The game is a massively multiplayer version of the tried and trusted formula and has you travel across six islands as you become a Temtem tamer; you can join friends to explore the game in cooperative mode at any time, participating in battles and customizing your character to your liking.

The biggest September release for Nintendo fans, hands down, is Splatoon 3.

Splatoon 3, the latest entry in everyone’s favorite squid shooter series, will give squids and kids a new chance to take over the battlefield and claim as much territory as possible. The series has never let us down before, so we have high hopes for this upcoming title. You can get a pre-order below, though more pre-order options can be found here as well.

FIFA 23 – September 30

Closing out September is FIFA 23, the latest soccer game from EA under the FIFA brand.

As you might expect, this year’s Switch release is once again a Legacy Edition, meaning it features all the updated gear, kits, and squads, but doesn’t feature any of the gameplay improvements seen on other consoles. It’s a shame, but if you just want the latest title available to play on the go, pre-orders are now available.

The second installment in Ubisoft’s Mario + Rabbids series arrives on Switch on October 20, as Mario and his friends embark on a new galactic journey to explore planets and save their fellow Sparks.

There are many familiar faces in the game’s eclectic roster, but new combat tactics and bosses will force you to find new ways to get the upper hand. We can’t wait to get our hands on this one, and there’s not much to look forward to! More pre-order options can also be found here, including special releases of the Gold and Cosmic editions.

Finally, Finally Bayonetta 3 will be released on October 28. We hope the years of waiting are worth it!

The game is getting both a standard and a special physical edition, and the latter is already proving extremely hard to come by. We keep track of all the links you need in our dedicated pre-order guide, but you’ll want to grab any Trinity Masquerade Edition stock whenever you see it.

Bayonetta struts across multiple locations in an all-new, over-the-top climactic action game. Sporting a wicked new outfit and somewhat familiar pigtails, the titular Umbra witch must face off against a mysterious evil using her signature weapons and time-slowing Witch Time ability. This time, invading man-made biological weapons called homunculi find themselves in Bayonetta’s crosshairs.
