Twitch Streamer Surpasses 296 Nintendo 64 Games, Including Superman

Nearly 300 Nintendo 64 games were released in the US during the console’s lifetime, and this person has spent years completing them all.

A Twitch user has spent the last few years reviewing all the games that were available for the N64 console in the US. While the Switch is having a great year and the Wii was a phenomenal success at the turn of the millennium, it’s likely that many older gamers have good memories of Nintendo 64the cartridge-based system that managed to break through in an era moving toward disk-based machines.

Completing all the games released for the console is quite a feat. When the N64 came out, it had a list of titles that helped usher in 3D gaming, like Mario 64 Y The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, the latter of which has become one of the best video games of all time. In general, the 1990s were a strong time for the industry, which up to that point was still finding its way. Things had progressed since the SNES and Genesis were considered toys or gadgets for young children, and advances in technology, as well as increased interest in development, meant that the games themselves were getting deeper.

Of course, these heady days are now considered retro, but it hasn’t stopped streamer Acegamesam from completing this gargantuan task. According to a report by The Gamer, it has taken the content creator more than five and a half years, accounting for 296 completed games. It should be noted at this point that the entire Nintendo 64 game library was closer to 400, but some of them were exclusive to the Japanese market. As such, Acegamesam opted to play every game that was available in the US, but completing almost 300 games is still a magnificent achievement.

This obviously includes all the more obscure titles as well as the popular ones like the one mentioned above. ocarina of time Y Mario releases And yes, this list also includes superman 64which was considered one of the worst video games of its time, certainly from the life of the N64.

Then, of course, there is the opposite of that. Golden Eye 007 is well loved by the players, and sits up there with people like Half life Y Condemn as one of the most innovative FPS games of all time. Given just these two examples, it seems like there were some ups and downs when the streamer got to finish all the games, but they should feel a huge sense of relief to have reached the end of their Nintendo 64 collection.
