The picture garnered an overwhelming response at its debut at the Venice Film Festival, where Timothée’s character Lee is believed to have seduced a man in a sensual carnival scene before falling in love with the female role Maren.
According to Variety, the film was ‘devoured’ by the audience, who gave their ‘longest and most enthusiastic’ applause at the festival to date.

Italian director Luca Guadagnino is said to have wiped his eyes as the audience in the Sala Grande chanted “Luca! Luca!”
Timothée and Taylor Russell, who plays the anti-heroine Maren, were among the cast members who came down the steps from the theater’s mezzanine to greet the enthusiastic orchestra audience, according to reports.
The Call Me By Your name star then drew additional applause by holding up pieces of paper with the names of Luca and Taylor who intended to reserve their seats.

Bones And All stars Timothée as Lee, a disenfranchised drifter, who falls in love with the cannibal Maren and they become a hungry couple on the run.
The film reunited Timothée with his Call Me By Your Name director Luca, and production was underway in Kentucky and Ohio after the Armie Hammer cannibal scandal broke in January 2021.
In the preview, Lee asks Maren, “Don’t you think I’m a bad person?” Maren replies, ‘All I think about is that I love you.’

The coming-of-age horror movie is set in the 1980s when Lee’s Chevy truck with Indiana plates has 1984 Reagan/Bush bumper stickers on it and one that reads, “My wife does.” My dog, maybe. My gun, never.
The eerie trailer, filled with screaming women, shows only a glimpse of Maren with blood on her face as she squats inside a bathroom.
There are also glimpses of the couple running in a hospital, a frightened shirtless man in overalls running, and Lee looking shocked as he’s behind the wheel.

“They meet and are joined on a thousand-mile odyssey that takes them through the back roads, hidden passages, and trapdoors of Ronald Reagan’s America,” the synopsis read.
“But despite her best efforts, all roads lead to her terrifying past and to a final battle that will determine if her love can survive her otherness.”
Bones and All, which hits US theaters on November 23, is based on the 2015 Camille DeAngelis novel and features Mark Rylance, Chloë Sevigny, David Gordon Green and Francesca Scorsese.
