Netflix has signed on to some major movies and Netflix original shows in the last week, including a newly acquired gothic horror thriller called pale blue eye, which will star Christian Bale, according to a report from Deadline.
This sets a record for a worldwide deal on the European Film Market, where Netflix paid a whopping $55 million for this deal, according to the report.
Deadline reports that the project will be directed by Scott Cooper and will mark a reunion for Cooper and Bale. led cooper hostile in 2017, starring Bale, who played Captain Joseph Blacker, a cavalry officer in the US Army.
Bale recently appeared in Thor: love and thunder as the villainous Gorr the God Butcher. He will also star in the next David O. Russell film. amsterdam.

pale blue eye will be released in select theaters beginning December 23 and then it will will debut on Netflix on January 6.
