“The mother that you are”

Dua Lipa has released her highly anticipated single, ‘Dance the Night’, from the upcoming ‘Barbie’ movie and all the fans are saying the same thing: they love it.

The song, which was first heard in the official trailer for the film, sees Dua teaming up with her regular collaborators Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt and Caroline Ailin.

The accompanying music video is wonderfully camp and fits perfectly into the world of ‘Barbie,’ with Dua strutting through hot pink ensembles dressed in pieces from her Versace co-designed collection.

Since then, fans of the three-time Grammy Award-winning pop star have taken to social media to show their love for “Dance the Night.”

“She truly is the pop star of this generation,” one wrote, “oh dua lipa the mother you are.”

Another added: “Definitely no one on the Barbie movie soundtrack is beating Dua Lipa’s late night dance, I don’t know.”

A third fan said that “the replayability of this song is dangerous.”

A fourth stated that ‘Dance the Night’ is “everything” they wanted it to be.

“Infectious bop, uplifting, sugary and great to dance to!! I’m obsessed!” they said.

‘Barbie’ is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and features several openly LGBTQ+ stars, including Kate McKinnon, Hari Nef, Scott Evans and Alexandra Shipp.

“After being kicked out of Barbieland for being a less-than-perfect-looking doll, Barbie sets off for the human world to find true happiness,” reads the official synopsis.

Barbie will be released in the US and UK on July 21, 2023 and you can see how other fans have reacted to Dua’s new song below.
