With all the horror to come, Beyond Fest today announced the first wave of programming for its 10th anniversary.
From Tollywood to Hollywood is a month-long celebration of the Indian writer/director SS Rajamouli featuring his most iconic work and very special in-person appearances from the filmmaker himself!
Built in collaboration with longtime Beyond Fest partner American Cinematheque and IMAX, Variance Films, Potentate Films and the Los Angeles Indian Film Festival, From Tollywood to Hollywood: the spectacle and majesty of SS Rajamouli it is the first American retrospective of SS Rajamouli, and the first time the legendary director has appeared with his films in person at an American film festival.

Launch with an incredibly rare IMAX presentation of the global phenomenon RRR at the world famous TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, From Tollywood to Hollywood: the spectacle and majesty of SS Rajamouli also features an epic nine-hour ultramarathon that includes BAAHUBALI: THE BEGINNING, BAAHUBALI 2: THE CONCLUSION Y EEGA with SS Rajamouli in person for a career-spanning Q&A session, and special screenings of Magadheera Y MARYADA RAMANA.
All films will be presented in their native Telugu with English subtitles, and intermissions will be watched as originally intended by the filmmaker. SS Rajamouli will also guest program the American Cinematheque’s ‘Sunday Print Edition’ at Los Feliz 3 and present a 35mm black and white screening of Charlie Chaplain’s 1931 silent classic CITY LIGHTS.
