The Biden administration is funding an alleged research program at an Ohio university that reportedly includes the National Rifle Association, the Christian Broadcasting Network, and other conservative groups along with Nazis and white supremacists.

According to a report released Thursday by the Conservative Media Research Center, the Biden administration “is putting together a government-funded anti-terrorism grant program in an effort to destroy conservatives, Christians and the Republican Party.”

The MRC said this is being done through the Violence and Terrorism Prevention Grant Program, known as TVTP.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the grant program provides funds to state, local, tribal and territorial governments, as well as non-profit organizations and universities, to study ways to develop strategies to prevent terrorism.

Created by the Obama administration, the program originally sought ways to prevent people from being radicalized by Muslim terrorist groups like al-Qaeda.

However, the program “was revamped under the Biden administration and rebranded to provide funds to localities to combat ‘all forms of terrorism and targeted violence,’” the MRC reported.

“Instead of focusing on preventing actual violence and terrorism, the program is now being used to target the full spectrum of the political right and Christians through ‘online media literacy and critical thinking initiatives’ and other calls training seminars as part of a coordinated program. effort to turn America into a one-party system,” the MRC added.

The MRC says the program has provided $40 million for beneficiaries.

One of them, the University of Dayton Center for Human Rights, was awarded $352,109 to launch what it calls the Preventing Violence Extremist Radicalization through Education, Networking and Training project in Southwest Ohio, or PREVENTS-OH. The initiative “aims to develop a proactive, informed, and resilient network of conscious and able organizations, coalitions, and civic entities to collaborate to prevent domestic violent extremism in Southwest Ohio,” DHS said.

The MRC noted that, according to the college, groups seeking to promote the “radicalization of extremist violence” include The Heritage Foundation, Fox News, Christian Broadcasting Network, Turning Point USA, PragerU (a project of conservative commentator Dennis Prager), the NRA, Breitbart News, the American Conservative Union Foundation, and the Republican National Committee.

A graph created by the university shows those groups and others, such as Blue Lives Matter and the Tea Party Patriots, at the bottom of the “far-right radicalization pyramid,” with neo-Nazis and other hate groups at the top.

According to the MRC report, the University of Dayton has hosted PREVENTS-OH seminars comparing former President Donald Trump to the murderous Cambodian dictator Pol Pot, who murdered nearly 2 million of his own citizens, and who claimed that the governor Florida Republican Ron DeSantis “might want to start a second Holocaust.”

One of the group’s seminars also featured a lecture by University of Cincinnati researcher Michael Loadenthal, who is a self-proclaimed member of Antifa. The MRC reported that its Twitter account is populated with posts “celebrating acts of left-wing violence, often against police officers.

“Loadenthal used PREVENTS-OH to explain in detail how to create fictitious accounts on free speech social media platforms like Telegram, Gab and Rumble to ‘destabilize’ political movements,” the MRC added. He was quoted as saying: “A lot of the things we’re doing are illegal. … A lot of it involves breaking the law.”

At that same seminar, the MRC noted, University of Dayton professor Paul Becker claimed that groups opposing the COVID-19 lockdown and vaccination mandates had been infiltrated by hate groups.

The university also hosted Nicole Widdersheim, Washington deputy director of Human Rights Watch and former senior policy adviser at the US Holocaust Memorial Center, who said DeSantis “could try to carry out a second Holocaust” with the Florida State Guard. the group reinvigorated by DeSantis to help his office in emergencies.

“Instead of focusing on preventing actual violence and terrorism, a staggering number of recipients appear to be, with the knowledge of DHS, using the funds to target political opponents of the Biden administration under the guise of so-called training seminars. for issues such as ‘media literacy initiatives and online critical thinking’”, reported the MRC.

“The Biden administration has a clear pattern of using taxpayer money to attack his political opponents, whether it be through the Ruling Board of Disinformation, targeting parents as terrorists, funding the Index censorship machine. Global Disinformation and now the DHS TVTP program.”
