September is almost here, and as the end of the year approaches, video game publishers are starting to speed up their release schedules with more and bigger titles. The next month may not be as packed with new stuff, but there are still plenty of good games to go around.
After Madden NFL 23‘s in August, sports fans get the latest versions of two other long-running sports games: NBA 2K Y fifa. We’ve also got the usual remasters and remakes, another JRPG from Square Enix, a LEGO-themed fighting game, and another big release from Nintendo.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R is a fighting game set in the world of the eponymous shonen and seinen manga franchise. It’s a remaster of a game released in 2013 for PS3, hence the ‘R’ at the end of the title.
Coming to all modern platforms, this new version will feature all playable characters from the original base game and its expansions, plus nine additional base characters and a few more coming via season passes. A total of more than 50 characters of all jojo Bows will be playable.

the last of us part i is a ground-up remake of one of the most iconic PlayStation games, offering modernized gameplay and even more realistic visuals worthy of the graphical prowess of PS5.
Instead of just remastering the game again, this new version completely rebuilds it from the ground up using the latest PS5 game engine from developer Naughty Dog. Expect not only improved graphics, but better controls, mechanical tweaks, and accessibility options that would put everything in Part I on par with its 2020 sequel.
Fans were initially skeptical about the need to remake The last of us. Still, after a few trailers showcasing welcome improvements, it’s shaping up to be the best way to play an essential PS game that, let’s not forget, was initially created two console generations ago, for PS3. Time flies.
The remake is also a great way to relive his unforgettable story ahead of HBO’s television adaptation starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay, set for release sometime in 2023.

The action RPG promises versatile gameplay that suits many different playstyles thanks to Aegis’s variety of abilities and weapons. You will cross paths with historical figures such as Marie Antoinette, Lafayette and Robespierre, whose motives and allegiance will remain unclear.

The latest version of the most popular annual basketball simulation game is just around the corner, promising new modes, refined gameplay and rewards.
NBA 2K23 is bringing back the Jordan Challenge mode, featured in NBA 2K11. Some 12 years later, players will be able to re-enact not 10 but 15 of the most iconic moments from Air Jordan’s career, five of which are brand new to the game series.
The new title also comes with AI improvements and reworked controls to increase realism while keeping the control scheme simple and friendly for newcomers.
Pre-orders are now open and they come with digital benefits, including free virtual currency, MyTeam points and promotional packs, boosts and a Devin Booker 95-rated free agent card and jersey.

The next installment in Nintendo’s inky third-person shooter series, where you play as a fictional cephalopod known as the Inkling or Octoling, who transforms into a humanoid form at will.
Thanks to the recent Nintendo Direct and a free demo on August 27, we know that Splatoon 3‘s Territory Wars will feature new battle stages, weapons, and character customization items. At launch, there will be 12 stages to fight through, eight of which will be brand new. More game maps should come later Splatoon 3Liberation of .
Salmon Run cooperative mode, introduced in the previous game, returns in Splatoon 3. In it, four players must work together to defeat strange creatures called salmonids and grab as many of their golden eggs as possible.

Metal: Hellsinger
Metal: Hellsinger is a rhythmic first person shooter, where you have to attack evil enemies to the beat of the game’s heavy metal soundtrack.
Firing your weapons, reloading, dodging enemy attacks, slashing your sword, and performing finishing moves to the beat all build up a score multiplier that’s critical to your high-score success at the end of the level. At launch, Metal: Hellsinger will feature 10 heavy metal songs written, produced and performed specifically for the game’s seven levels by nine different artists.
The game demo, available on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PS5, reached over 1 million downloads in the first 11 days of its release, putting the unique boomer shooter among the most anticipated FPS games in this moment.
Metal: Hellsinger launches on September 15 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Return to Monkey Island
Monkey Island returns for a sixth installment in the pirate game series, after a 13-year hiatus. Return to Monkey Island pick up the story where Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge left it, but will also include references to later games.
The new point-and-click adventure will revisit familiar locations like Mêlée Island and Monkey Island, adding new areas to explore. Brand new locations like Terror Island and Brr Muda will also be introduced.
Return to Monkey Island It will see several characters reappear, including protagonist Guybrush Threepwood, with many voice actors reprising their roles.

The DioField Chronicle
The DioField Chronicle is a brand new strategy RPG and the first of many releases that publisher Square Enix has scheduled for the final months of 2022. The new game will be followed by the release of Valkyrie Elysiumthe third installment of valkyrie action-RPG series, later this month for PS4 and PS5, and in October for PC.
The DioField Chronicle It will offer the typical JRPG setting of a medieval fantasy world with many epic battles to take part in. The game world will feature 16 playable characters and a main story that will last between 30 and 40 hours.
This new RPG promises an innovative real-time battle system, deep strategic gameplay, and beautiful diorama-style visuals, while its epic musical score comes from game of Thrones composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell.
Pre-orders for the game are open and it will be released alongside a version of the board game as a collector’s edition perk.

It’s September, so it’s time for EA Sports to bring its latest take on football with the annual licensed simulation game, fifa23. This will be the last game under the FIFA brand after football’s highest governing body and EA parted ways earlier this year and the publisher announced it will switch to ea sports fc as the franchise title starting next year.
‘The last fifacomes with many changes and improvements: an exciting new turf system, HyperMotion2 which brings more realistic and less predictable player animations, a better Career Mode, the merger of Pro Clubs and VOLTA FOOTBALL, and… Juventus is back after from a three-year hiatus, during which ‘The Old Lady’ had been replaced by the fictional club Piemonte Calcio in the game.
FIFA Ultimate Team, the game’s most popular mode, will see significant changes to its chemistry system, cross-play will expand as players across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Stadia will now share a single market of transfers, and there will be a new FUT Moments single player mode aimed at casual players.
FIFA 23 will be released on September 30 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Stadia.
