The Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT) publishes the Report on the Evolution of Plans and Rates for Fixed Telecommunications Services 2020-2022 (Report), in order to show an analysis of the evolution of the offer of plans and rates of the concessionaires that Together they represent more than 80% of the market share and, through their names and/or commercial brands, they offered plans and rates for fixed internet, fixed telephony and pay television services in their different contracting modalities.
This Report identifies the evolution of the offer that each of the concessionaires makes available to users in terms of monthly rent and the basket of services included (download speed, national calls, calls/minutes to mobile, long-term calls/minutes international distance (LDI) and number of channels), for the periods that comprise the first quarter of 2020 and the first quarter of 2022.

The purpose of the Report is to show an analysis of the evolution of the plans and rates for fixed Internet, Fixed Telephony and Pay TV services in the different contracting modalities.
Likewise, it is important to point out that, in this Report, no distinction is made between the plans by type of technology: fixed Internet (coaxial cable, DSL, fiber optic, satellite or terrestrial fixed wireless); Pay TV (Cable, Direct to Home (DTH), Terrestrial or Satellite IPTV).
For the benefit and savings of users, the IFT has tools such as “I Know My Consumption”, which allows the user to enter their consumption profile and find out the plans that adapt to their needs and budget. It also makes available the “Comparator of Telecommunications Services”, which allows to know and compare in a simple and detailed way the characteristics of the mobile and fixed service plans, in their different contracting modalities, available in the country.
