LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The National Fastpitch Coaches Association revealed that 160 student-athletes, representing 66 programs, received 2023 NFCA NJCAA Division I & II All-Region accolades.
These awards honor softball student-athletes from all three Association regions in NJCAA DI and DII with first-team and second-team recognition. NFCA member coaches from each region voted for the teams, and all honorees are now eligible for the 2023 NFCA NJCAA Division I and II All-America teams.
NJCAA DI All Region | NJCAA DII for all regions
Odessa College (DI – West) and Louisburg College (DII – East) led the way with eight All-Region honors each. Louisburg earned six first-team nominations, while Odessa had four.
College of Southern Idaho (West) trailed Odessa in Division I with six recognitions, two first-team. In the Midwest, Grayson College led all teams with five, while Indian Hills Community College nabbed four, all first-team. Chattanooga State Community College and Florida SouthWestern State College paced the South Region with four accolades each, including the region’s top three first-team accolades.
McLennan Community College also earned four All-Region honors, two first teams, in Division I.
In Division II, Murray State College (South) took home six cheers with three on the first team. Jones College (South), which earned four overall honors, tied Murray State with three first-team honors. Phoenix College also picked up four selections, two first-team picks.
Catawba Valley Community College and Potomac State College of the Eastern Region earned five and four accolades, respectively, with Potomac State leading the way with three first-team cheers.
In the Midwest Region, Parkland College and Rock Valley College each had four recognized student-athletes, while Des Moines Area Community College led the region with all three first-team honorees. RVC and Parkland had two and one in the first team, respectively.
The NJCAA All-Americans DI and II, voted on by their respective All-America committees, will be announced on Friday, June 2.
