One of the next expected movies of September ‘Babli Bouncer’ is the one that will hit the screens on the 23rd of this month. Meanwhile, the trailer for the movies has been revealed by the production team and the spectacle of its launch records some meaningful speeches from the souls of the Babli Bouncer team, the director Madhur Bhandarkar and the leading man Babli aka Tamannaah Bhatia.
According to the IMDb website, the film’s synopsis reads: “A unique story of a gorilla, the film follows the Babli Bouncer who is Tamannah Bhatia. It explores the various facets of the profession, which is often dominated by men.”
The film is a self-titled direction by National Award-winning director Madhur Bhandarkar. The film promises to be enjoyable family entertainment. Tamannaah, who is the main character, will be seen playing the role of the bouncer, who hails from Haryana and moves to Delhi to work in a nightclub.
Besides Tamannaah Bhatia in the main character, the cast list of the film also includes the names of Sahil Vaid, Saurabh Shukla and Abhishek Bajaj.
While revealing about the film, Tamannaah emotionally shared at the show’s launch, “This is a very special day for me. I had been waiting for the trailer release from the moment I heard the script. Madhur sir has made a film that is like a hug: it’s warm, it’s fuzzy and it makes you smile. I’ve always been a big fan of his movies. My respect for him has grown even more, not only because he is a genius at his craft, but also because he taught me to choose temperament over talent.”
“He’s won multiple national awards, and after receiving as much industry adulation as any filmmaker would want, he’s one of the funniest, coolest directors I’ve ever worked with. I feel that the spirit of Babli in the film is due to him.” she adds.
He even states that the film is one of the most valuable throughout his entire career. “I’ve done so many movies to date, but this has been my most integrated and fun experience. The film has been the most collaborative experience for me as an actress,” she states.
On the other hand, director Madhur Bhandarkar is recorded to have said, “Nowadays, where there is a trend of female gorillas, I thought why not make a movie about the same. I thought that this movie could be done in a fun way or as a serious movie. So I decided to make a life scenes movie that the whole family can watch together. I, along with two writers, wrote the script. Then the pandemic hit us. However, when things settled down, my producers and I thought about revamping the script.”
“Babli Bouncer is about a girl who comes from a small town to become a bouncer in Delhi and how her life turns upside down in a humorous way. Tamannaah has done a fabulous job. She will be seen in a different role. She was even everyone’s favorite on the sets,” she concluded.
The film is under the production of Star Studios and Junglee Pictures, and everything is ready for its digital release on September 23 on OTT platforms; It will be available in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.
