An annual New York City tradition since 1976, Macy’s 4he of July Fireworks continues to dazzle millions of viewers across the country with a spectacular experience that is sure to delight the senses. the 47he The Macy’s Fireworks Edition is conceived, designed and produced by Macy’s with Pyro Spectaculars by Souza. The 25-minute extravaganza is timed to a spectacular musical score and will feature an abundance of shells and numerous effects in 30 colors and shapes.
New effects that will captivate revelers include a mile-wide fluttering flag created by a combination of red, white and blue palms and strobing shells, a sunflower ring with crackling pistil shells, red stop sign effects and a new pyrotechnic ghost that changes color. to another in an on/off design with four different tones.
This year’s pyrotechnic design will feature the most dynamic collection of animated projectiles ever released during Macy’s annual extravaganza. Curated by Ray Chew, famed music director and master of some of the country’s most popular entertainment shows, sheet music selections will include “The Star Bangled Banner,” “America the Beautiful,” “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” and a special presentation of an original work titled “Sea to Shining Sea,” written and performed by The United States Army Field Band rap duo Nico & Lamar with Ray Chew.
No Macy’s fireworks display would be complete without an inspiring tribute to light and each show’s signature moment, Macy’s Golden Mile. Shown to “The Best” by the legendary Tina Turner, thousands of golden shells will create a spectacular cascading effect that will stretch for more than a mile through the East River.
