New images purportedly taken from an unannounced remake of Silent Hill 2 have surfaced on Twitter.
While no new Silent Hill games have been confirmed yet, let alone a remake of the fan-favorite second installment in the series, the source says they’ve been taken from the remake rumored to be in development at Bloomer Team.
As more news emerged over the weekend, it appears that the images were taken from a slide purportedly taken from an internal PlayStation document… although there is absolutely no evidence to support this. Additionally, industry insiders who previously worked with Sony’s own developers say the slide doesn’t look authentic, which calls into question the veracity of the images. More and more curious, huh?

As for what images themselves show? Small and super blurry, they are quite difficult to interpret. Some in the Silent Hill Reddit community think it could be from The Last of Us Part 1, while others think it could be a fan-made game.
I think the last of the three certainly resembles Silent Hill 2 a bit: it seems to coincide with a particular point in Brookhaven Hospital where a nurse jumps you over an elevator. But with so many fakes and unfounded speculation about the series, it’s really hard to be sure of anything right now! Confused? We are not all! It’s a great time to be a Silent Hill fan though; Rumors or not, it’s great to see so many people interested in the amazing horror series.

Although for now we can only take the news with a big bucket of salt, it is rumored that Konami does not have one but three Silent Hill games in development; a new installment in the main series, a Silent Hill 2 remake, believed to be in development at Bloober Team, and an episodic adventure via Annapurna Interactive. oh and Konami recently updated the Silent Hill trademark to include a virtual reality component.also.
