Universal Pictures has dropped the official Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s latest coming-of-age fantasy comedy. Its arrival in theaters is scheduled for June 30.
The video features the titular teenager Kraken disguising herself as a normal human girl. Her life changes with the arrival of a new popular girl, who turns out to be a mermaid who threatens to reveal her secret. This leads her to discover her true powers, as well as her destiny as a Kraken of a royal bloodline.
Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken is directed by Oscar nominee Kirk DeMicco and Faryn Pearl.
