Rose Byrne would return for Bridesmaids 2

You know the expression. Always a bridesmaid and… always a bridesmaid?

Forty-three-year-old comedian (and occasional “X-Men” co-star) rose byrne he is apparently willing to accept the compromise. In an interview with people magazineByrne, who currently co-stars with seth rogen on Apple TV+’s “Platonic” – said “of course” when asked if he’d like to revisit 2011 Paul Feig-Sensation directed by “Bridesmaids”.

“If all the girls were there, I absolutely would,” she said. “The girls” in this case are kristen wiig, rodolfo maya, melissa maccarthy, Wendy McLendon Coveyand elle kemper.

But one could imagine that everyone would find time to fit it into their schedules. The original film, written by Wiig and Annie Mumuloand produced by judd apatow, made close to $300 million at the worldwide box office plus another $100 in home video sales, which were still around as of 2011. It also garnered an Oscar nomination for Wiig and Mumulo’s original screenplay and a Best Supporting Actress nomination for Melissa McCarthy . The woman emptied her entrails into a sink, and for that she deserved praise!

But Byrne is a realist. “It’s a tough act to follow because the first movie was great,” he told People. “It was so magical and so loved.” He then replied, “Maybe we could do a different movie together. A reinvention of something.” This maneuver is, in certain circles, called “‘A Fish Named Wanda’ – ‘Fierce Creatures’ Mixture”. It’s risky, but sometimes it works.

Byrne added that even when the cast is in their 90s, they would be ready to regroup. But also: “I would do a ‘Bridesmaids’ sequel this afternoon, right now,” he said. “That group of women was the most magical thing ever. Most of us were already very good friends. I think it was a magical moment.”
