During an appearance on the marvel vision podcast, Devin Faraci claimed that Penn Badgley “probably has the role [of Mister Fantastic] already,” prompting reports that the actor had rocketed to the top of Marvel’s Fantastic four casting list.
However, the reporter has now clarified his comments, confirming that he was speaking speculatively and not making comments based on inside information.
Taking to Twitter to clear up the confusion surrounding his comments about Penn Badgley becoming the MCU’s Reed Richards, Devin Faraci made it clear that this wasn’t based on any official information from Marvel.
Faraci retracted his earlier comments in a tweet, saying, “My source on this is Reddit and my gut, nothing more.” It appears that Faraci was just repeating rumors that he had already encountered that suggested Penn Badgley was up for the role of leader of the Fantastic Four.
