The Stanley Cup Final continues Monday night, when the Golden Knights and Panthers meet for Game 2.
Vegas teeed off on Saturday night, defeating Florida 5-2 to open the series. Five different Golden Knights players found the back of the net, including Zach Whitecloud, who scored the game-winner. Meanwhile, Adin Hill was sensational at the net once again, saving 33 of the 35 shots he took.
Vegas’ victory marks the third straight series in which the Golden Knights have taken the first game. The club improved to 7-3 at home during the 2023 playoffs and aims to get to 8-3 at T-Mobile Arena on Monday.

On the other hand, the Panthers lost a Game 1 for the first time since the first round against the Bruins. It was also the first time goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky had allowed at least four goals since Game 6 against Boston.
Bobrovsky has yet to lose back-to-back games this postseason, while the Panthers haven’t since Games 3 and 4 in the first round. They will try to tie with the Golden Knights before the series moves to South Florida for the next two contests.
