This post contains a PREVIEW for Obi Wan #4
a preview for Star Wars’ new obi wan The comic series is setting up the Jedi master’s darkest mission with Anakin Skywalker during the Clone Wars. Intent on being secret and highly classified, Obi-Wan and Anakin are sent to retrieve a Republic commander gone extremely rogue. As such, it will be up to Kenobi and Skywalker to bring him back before he can do any more damage to the name of the Republic.
As previously seen in Marvel Comics’ obi wan Serie, Kenobi is already a nomad on Tatooine keeping an eye on young Luke Skywalker before A new hope. Trying to survive a particularly brutal sandstorm, the Jedi Master reflects on his life, including his first real test as a young Jedi, one of his first missions as Qui-Gon Jinn’s apprentice, as well as the first battles of him as a general during the Clone. Wars.
Now, Obi Wan #4 by writer Christopher Cantwell and artist Madibek Musabekov sees Obi-Wan confirming that one of the few bright spots in his life during the Clone Wars was his friendship with Anakin Skywalker, his former apprentice who became a Jedi Knight at the start of the war . However, in this new preview, Admiral Yularen calls them in to discuss his new mission, one so secret that he had to speak to each other in person and be kept on official Republic records. Here are the preview pages and synopsis for the upcoming issue:
- OBI-WAN #4
- THE SUN SETS AND LOVES As the sandstorm takes over his home, Obi-Wan has more time to reflect on and in the darkness. He recalls a time when he and Anakin Skywalker were pulled from the front lines of the Clone Wars to face a lost soul from Kenobi’s warlike past. Will the two Jedi be able to bring a man back from the heart of darkness into which he has fallen?
First seen in the above Obi Wan #3, it appears that Commander Mekedrix went missing and formed an execution squad after the massacre at the Eedit Jedi Temple (the Savage Oppress’s first mission and Count Dooku’s brutal ordeal seen in the animated film). clone wars Serie). Combined with the cover art by Phil Noto and the phrase about “heart of darkness”, it looks like this issue will be a Star Wars tribute to apocalypse nowthe epic Vietnam movie that George Lucas came close to directing before Francis Ford Coppola took the reins.
If the tribute to apocalypse now he argues, the reason Obi-Wan and Anakin’s mission is so secret is likely that the Jedi Council wants the unstable commander eliminated before he or his execution squad can cause any more damage. It would be the first or last time the Council orders a morally questionable mission during the Clone Wars. If that’s truly the case, this upcoming story could certainly claim the title as one of the Jedi duo’s darkest missions in history. Star Wars canon (if they can keep going). the full Obi Wan #4 releases on August 31.
