Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced this week that a new animated film based on the Tom and Jerry characters is coming to DVD in November. Noble Tom and Jerry: Snowman Land, the film will follow in the footsteps of the just-announced Trick-Or-Treat, Scooby-Doo!, marking the second major Warner Animation brand to get a seasonal special in two months, and both will be headed straight-to-DVD. In this movie, a snow mouse comes to life, delivering a Frosty the Snowman-esque adventure with little mouse teeth that give it a bit of “Olaf of Frozen” ambient.
This is the first major release with the character since last year. tom and jerrya live-action/CGI hybrid film from Fantastic four Tim Story, which took the characters to New York City and introduced them to a young hotel maid played by Chloe Grace Moretz. Originally created in 1940 by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, the characters have had a nearly constant presence in popular culture ever since, with more than 150 shorts, several different television shows, and 13 direct-to-DVD movies, with Warner Bros. at times. treating the pair as The Muppets and integrating them into existing stories to create projects like Tom and Jerry and the Wizard of Oz Y Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
