CPU-Z 2.02 adds support for an unreleased Ryzen 7000 series “Zen 4” processor series. These include Ryzen 9 7950 and Ryzen 9 7900 “non-X” SKUs. Consistent with previous trends, the 65W TDP variants of the 7900X and 7950X will launch only in the OEM market and will not be available in pre-built desktops.
They are often bundled with motherboards, memory kits, and SSDs. AMD highlighted the exceptional levels of efficiency that “Zen 4” demonstrates in 65W power-constrained processors in its Ryzen 7000 keynote presentation. Single-threaded or weak-threaded performance is largely unaffected, while heavier multi-threaded workloads may see performance decrease compared to retail “X” chips.
Alongside this news, the new update of course adds support for AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 7900X, Ryzen 7 7700X, Ryzen 5 7600X. AMD X670E/B650 chipsets. AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT (Navi 21 KXTX), RX 6750 XT (Navi 22 KXT), RX 6650 XT (Navi 23 KXT), and RX 6400 (Navi 24 XL). Preliminary support of AMD EXPO memory overclocking profiles, the Intel Z790 platform. Intel Xeon Platinum, Gold and Silver “Ice Lake-SP” (10nm, FCLGA4189).
