the trailer of R Balki’s sucks, a highly anticipated mystery thriller premieres today. The plot follows the life of an artist who becomes a serial killer who attacks film critics and murders them in cold blood. The film also features an up-and-coming star cast with names like Sunny Deol, Dulquer Salmaan, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Pooja Bhatt.
Deol plays the cop trying to catch the criminal, while Salmaan and Dhanwanthary add an element of romance to the otherwise intense plot. The film is scheduled to be released on September 23 this year.

In a recent interview, Balki said, “I just pick ideas and pick the genre that idea deserves. This happens to be in the suspense space. I’m not saying it’s a bloody movie, but it has a lot of carnage. It’s not bloody or creepy, but a sensitive movie. I hope that people find more awareness after watching it and that they are a little more sensitive when they form an opinion about someone. We pass opinions on everything, so I just want people to be more sensitive to something you’ve spent time on.”
Thinking similarly, Deol is very excited to play this role. Speaking of which, he said, “I’ve done different movies in my career, however this one really hits it out of the park in terms of the character and the story of him. It feels like you’re digging into someone’s inner workings, and the character I’m playing is especially unique, so it was a whole new experience for me.”
Another interesting aspect to keep in mind is that Amitabh Bachchan has become a composer for this one. Balki talked about it in an interview, saying, “It all happened very off the cuff. I asked Amitji to watch the movie (sucks). After seeing it, she called me up and played a tune on her piano and said that’s how the movie and the characters in it made her feel. He was very moved. He was ecstatic. I asked him if he could use the melody and he immediately gave it away to the film. This day, sucks It is the first film to have Amitji’s official composition as the score for the credits.”
