Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator to qualify for the final. They scored 182/8 batting first and bowled out LSG for 101 to win the match for 81 runs. This was the first win against LSG in the IPL, as a result of a combined team effort.

His batting seems his suit stronger than his bowling. However, credit must be given to the team for reaching the final without their two main bowlers. Jofra Archer and Jasprit Bumrah.
