Terror Films has released a trailer for the wild manan upcoming film starring Michael Pare (bad moon, Curse of the Reanimator) confronting Bigfoot. The film, from director Ryan Justice (followers), was developed during the pandemic and will be released digitally later this month. The project also stars Lauren Crandall (Share or Die), Julian Green (lovecraft country), and Mike Reed. As with so many creature features, it focuses on young women who have begun mysteriously disappearing, only to attract the attention of law enforcement, volunteers, and reporters.
However, this is no ordinary Bigfoot movie; there is a bit of a regional touch. The monster here is the “skunk monkey”, also known as the Florida Bigfoot. It’s when those rumors start flying that a documentary film crew gets involved and sets the plot plot in motion. IMDb actually still has the movie listed as “The Wild Man: Skunk Apebut it’s probably better that they don’t have that in the title, as it doesn’t look like they’re going to lean into the comedy aspect of said title.
