This October, audiences can experience the latest family comedy, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile. The live-action musical comedy, based on the children’s book of the same name, follows an alligator living in New York City who befriends a young boy. Today, a new trailer for the film has been released, showing off all the fun that awaits families at the movies.
Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is based on the book bernard waber. Follow the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scott McNairy, Y Winslow Fegley) after moving to New York City. The young son of the family, Josh (Fegley), struggles to fit in and make friends. That is, until he meets Lyle (voiced by the Grammy-nominated singer shawn mendes), a crocodile that lives in his attic. The two quickly become friends as mischief and hilarity ensue, all while trying to avoid the wrath of their neighbor Mr. Grumpy (Brett Gelman).
The new trailer showcases all the fun you can expect to see in a movie about a crocodile living in the big city, from escaping animal control to taking a bubble bath, sticking his head out of a moving taxi and waving at people. . The trailer also shows off some of the musical numbers from the film. One that will surely be the great song that everyone leaves the theater humming, they see Lyle singing and dancing on a rooftop. We also see quick clips of Lyle dancing with Wu’s Mrs. Primm in the kitchen, as well as Lyle doing a dance number with Javier Bardemwho plays Lyle’s previous owner.
The original songs for the film are written by Benj Passak Y Justin Paulthe duo behind other hit songs like the earth, the greatest showmanY Dear Evan Hansen. Other composers who worked on the film include ari afsar, emily garner, Xu Hall, brand sonnen blickY Joriah Kwame. The movie itself is written by How to Train Your Dragon writer will davies and directed by the duo of will move Y joseph gordon. Speck and Gordon will also serve as producers along with parker hutch.
