LOS ANGELES RAMS AND PACSUN JOIN PARTNERSHIP FOR LOS ANGELES SCHOOLS TO COMBAT CHRONIC ABSENTEEISM

Rams and Rampage Cheerleaders reward Carver Middle School and Joyner Elementary School students with shopping experience

THE ANGELS, May 26, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Yesterday afternoon, the Los Angeles Rams, in collaboration with pacsunwas associated with association for the Angels schools to combat chronic absenteeism in historically underserved communities. Joint initiatives involved donating clothing and providing an exclusive shopping experience to reward local students.

Rams cheerleaders and the team’s mascot, Rampage, led students from George Washington Carver High School and Florence Griffith Joyner Elementary through an exclusive shopping experience, serving as their personal stylists and offering their fashion recommendations. In addition, the Pacsun merchandise was carefully packaged and delivered to 18 other LAUSD schools this past February, all run by Partnership for the Angels schools.

Aptly named “Geared for Greatness,” the program is intended to support LA Unified’s ongoing efforts to combat chronic absenteeism by providing students with on-trend outfits to get them excited about going to school and being there to learn.

Prior to the 2022 season, the Rams and Pacsun renewed their partnership focused on incentivizing attendance at Partnership for LA Schools in Watts, South LA and Boyle Heights. Since 2019, Pacsun and the Rams have donated $2 million in products to provide new and fashionable clothing, benefiting 13,500 Los Angeles Unified School students served by Partnership for the Angels schools.
