I recently moved back to Oahu, Hawaii, a company that challenged me to fit all my essentials into just three suitcases. Although I did have to purchase more items upon arrival, I tried very hard not to spend my budget on household items and living items right away. What did I really need to buy? Answer number one: a beach towel. While I could get away looking for a lot more thrift, I needed clean sheets to feel at home and to support my many beach adventures.

Finally, I considered color and pattern, wanting a design that I would be proud to wear on the beach, especially since it would no doubt be my photo backdrop for months to come.
