Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) star batsman Virat Kohli was in beast mode in IPL 2023. Virat Kohli amassed 639 runs in 14 innings and hit 6 half-centuries and 2-tonnes at an average of 53.25 and a strike rate of 139.82 .
The RCB management greatly missed the services of Rajat Patidar (*injured), the right-handed batsman who had a pretty good season with the bat in IPL 2022. Rajat Patidar had scored 404 runs in 12 matches and had hit 2 half-centuries and 1 ton.

Skipper Faf du Plessis got his tactics right and captained a bowler and at the same time Virat Kohli was seen cheering. RCB need to prepare the Indian batsmen and give them a long rope as RCB cannot win their inaugural tournament with only 3 batsmen: Virat, Faf and Maxwell.

Aakash Chopra was seen speaking on his YouTube channel. Aakash Chopra said Virat went all out scoring 2 tons and made a big statement that this was Virat’s best season after 2016. Aakash Chopra praised RCB captain Faf du Plessis for scoring 730 runs in the season.
“Virat Kohli scored over 850 points with two centuries and had his next best season after 2016. Some people will still criticize him, but I think Kohli did everything he could to help RCB win. He left no stone unturned, but unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.” Aakash Chopra said.

“Faf du Plessis had an absolutely stellar season. 730 runs and eight fifties, and the other six scores weren’t low scores either. He did everything he could in his ability to try to help his team win the title. But it just didn’t happen.” added.
No one else appeared aside from three batters: Aakash Chopra
Aakash Chopra was quite furious with RCB management and said that the team does not have a quality Indian batsman after Virat. Aakash Chopra said that of the 3 hitters, 2 were overseas (*Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell) noting that’s not a good sign.
“Apart from three batsmen of which two are abroad, no one else showed up. No Indian batsman could make a significant contribution on a consistent basis.” Aakash Chopra said.

“Either they haven’t stuck to Indian talent or the ones they invested in didn’t do well. Either way, this has been a problem for them over the years. Virat Kohli has over 7,000 runs for RCB, but the next Indian has not even a thousand.” added.
