I Came By: Hugh Bonneville’s Netflix Movie Has Fans Seriously Divided

I came for it’s a new movie in Netflix It boasts a gripping plot and a star-studded cast. The film, which is also available to watch in select cinemas in the UK, sees downton abbey‘s Hugo Bonneville lead the cast along with other big names including kelly macdonald Y George Mackay.

Despite I came for has just landed on the streaming platform, it seems that viewers are already divided by the film.

Taking to social media to deliver their verdict, audience members were divided on their view of I came for. One person said: “Started off pretty good but so many plot holes and their judge doesn’t even have a single camera or ring the bell #IMeBy #netflix.”

A second agreed, writing, “Vine was very disappointing. Not one of the best @netflix. Great cast and lots of potential. #IMeBy #Netflix.” A third added: “This primitive movie is like watching a movie for a graduation project! Just a waste of time!”

However, it was not all bad news, as many were seriously impressed by the gripping plot. “What a great movie! Well worth watching. Well done to everyone involved. #IMeBy #Netflix,” praised one viewer.

Another tweeted: “#YoMePor #Netflix was a wild ride of a British thriller!! The suspense was almost sickening! And the plot had several unexpected twists, the antagonist in this movie is a complete unexpected psycho! If you like thriller you’ll love this one.”

Kelly Macdonald also stars in the film.

A third wrote: “@Netflix ‘I Came By’ what an amazing UK movie. Hugh Bonneville plays a very sinister character. The story was sublime. Well done to all the actors #icameby.”

For those who are not familiar, I came for centers on Toby (George Mackay), a young graffiti artist who begins to make a living by targeting the houses of the wealthy elite. He eventually stumbles upon the home of a well-connected and prestigious high court judge, Sir Hector Blake (Hugh Bonneville), who specializes in serious crimes.

As Toby enters the sprawling mansion, he soon discovers that the famous Hector Blake may have some secrets to hide. As the synopsis explains, Toby stumbles across a “dark secret” that “takes him on a shocking journey that puts himself and those closest to him in danger.”
