Karolina Muchova vs. Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (5 am)

Muchova captured everyone’s attention in Paris on the opening day of the tournament, when she defeated eight-seeded Maria Sakkari in straight sets. Since then, she has dropped just one set and is one win away from reaching a major semifinal for the second time in her career.

It’s been a tough road to the quarters for Pavlyuchenkova, needing three sets to win each of her last threesome contests, all of which came against ranked opponents. Her last win was over a Grand Slam champion, Elise Mertens.

These two met in the third round at Wimbledon two years ago, with Muchova winning in straight sets.

(2) Aryna Sabalenka vs. Elina Svitolina (6:30 a.m.)

While things have been tough off the court, Sabalenka has put in her best performance at the French Open, not having dropped a set thus far, though she needed a first-set tiebreaker against Sloane Stephens in the fourth round.

Svitolina is entering her career fourth quarterfinal at Roland-Garros, for the first time since 2020. She had to battle a pair of ranked opponents on her way to the final eight, including victory over ninth-ranked Daria Kasatkina in the round of 16

This marks the third time the two have met, and the first since 2020, with both picking up a tour event win.

LIST OF MATCHES (All times ET)

(1) Iga Swiatek against (6) Coco Gauff (6 am)

It’s a rematch of last year’s final at Roland-Garros.

Coming into the quarterfinals on a bit more rest after a thrashing victory over Lesia Tsurenko in the fourth round, Swiatek looks unbeatable. Of the seven sets the two-time French Open champion has played, opponents have failed to win a point in four of them, making the Polish star an even bigger favorite to return to the championship match. .

Gauff has shown signs of struggling at times throughout the tournament, but has managed to reach the Grand Slam quarterfinals for the fourth time in her career. This will definitely be his toughest test as he looks to reach a major semi-final for the second time in his career.

Swiatek had no trouble winning the matchup against Gauff last year, winning in straight sets (6-1, 6-3) and is unbeaten in six matches against the American.

(7) Ons Jabeur vs. (14) Beatriz Haddad Maia (6 am)

Jabeur certainly hasn’t been perfect at Roland-Garros, but she has been able to advance to the quarterfinals at the French Open for the first time in her career. The two-time Grand Slam finalist has only dropped one set so far, including a dominating straight-set win over Bernarda Pera in the fourth round.

Haddad’s stamina continues to be tested in Paris, as the Brazilian has needed to go the distance to win each of her last three matches, coming back from losing the first set twice. Prior to the tournament, Haddad had not made it past the third round in a Grand Slam tournament and she is the first woman from Brazil to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam in 55 years.
