How to set a goal in ClickUp
To get started, go to Goals tab in the sidebar and click new goal in the upper right corner of the screen. From there, ClickUp will guide you through a series of steps in which you:

- Give it a description.
Your description will appear at the top of your goal page, so keep it short, sweet, and motivating. It’s almost like a mission statement or an elevator pitch to outline the purpose of your goal. Once you exit this window, an objective card will appear. Click on it to set some goals.
What are the objectives in ClickUp?
Objectives are your goal targets. Just like you can break a project into tasks, you can break a goal down into objectives. Each goal is measurable and ClickUp offers you four ways to do it in lens type:
- Number‘Giving him a number.
- True or false—completed or not.
- Badge—Revenue earned.
- Chores—tasks completed.

How to update your goals progress in ClickUp
As you work towards your goal, you can update your goals in ClickUp by selecting them from the goals menu. depending on your lens typea pop-up window will ask you to enter a number or mark the goal as complete.
If your goal uses tasks to measure progress, ClickUp automatically updates your progress as you mark the linked ones complete. As you update your goals, your overall goal progress wheel also fills up. Once you fill it completely, you can celebrate your achievement.
