Today, Apple kicks off its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), showcasing its latest software advances. Among the updates, watchOS 10 brings a much-needed software update to the Apple Watch. Eligibility criteria remain unchanged for watchOS 10, which means the update is available to everyone running watchOS 9. watchOS 10 is available for Apple Watch Series 4 or newer models. Apple brings the new software to the watch with 21R5275t.
The new software is currently available exclusively to developers, with the public beta version expected to arrive early next month. If you are a developer, you can freely install watchOS 10 dev beta on your watch.

If your iPhone or iPad is running on the latest iOS 17 developer beta, then you can easily download the watchOS 10 beta on your watch.
- Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
- Tap General > Software update.
- Select Beta Updates and enable the WatchOS 10 Developer Beta option.
- Go back and download the first watchOS 10 beta.
- That’s all.
Make sure your Apple Watch is charged to at least 50% and connected to Wi-Fi. After installing the beta profile, open the Apple Watch app on your phone, go to General > Software Update > Download & Install, then install the new software.
Now the watchOS 10 beta update will be downloaded and transferred to your Apple Watch. And after completing the installation process, your watch will be reset. Once everything is done, you can start using your Apple Watch.
