We’ll break down both paths to downgrading here, though the main difference will depend on when you upgraded to Windows 11. If you upgraded in the last 10 days, then your computer will still have a copy of Windows 10 stored on it; you can easily go back to Windows 10 without having to create new installation media. Unfortunately, if 10 days have already passed, this copy will not be available and you will need to do a clean install to downgrade to a previous version of Windows 11.
How to downgrade Windows 11 in 10 days
If you’re still within the 10-day limit after upgrading to Windows 11, you can downgrade to an earlier version using your PC’s built-in recovery options. Follow the steps below to get back to Windows 10.
