We have prepared for you a guide on how to complete Walton’s treasure hunt in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Walton is a Korok that you can find in the Deku Tree. From him, you can get Walton’s treasure hunt, in which you have to find the items that Walton has hidden, and after finding them, you will receive a reward from him. These items can be a bit hard to find, so we’re here to help. The items are pretty well hidden, but they’re all near the Deku Tree, so you’ll find them quickly using our hints.
Walton’s Treasure Hunt Quest Guide in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To start the Walton treasure hunt, you need to free Ganondorf’s Lost Woods. To do this, you need to enter the Deku Tree and go down the Abyss into the Depths. There you must defeat Gloom Hands and Phantom Ganon. After that, the Korok Forest will be a safe place again and the Deku Tree will feel much better. Also, Korok Seeds can now be traded in the Deku Tree.
Now that you have destroyed Gloom Hands and Phantom Ganon, you will be able to see many Koroks near the Deku Tree that have quests for Link. Most of them will be under the tree, but to start the Walton treasure hunt, you will need to get to the top of the Deku tree. You can get there just by climbing, but it’s better to use the Ascend ability. To do this, go inside the tree to where the Abyss was. You have now found Walton, and he will give you the Walton’s Treasure Hunt side quest.
He will tell you that he has hidden three items near the Deku Tree: Shield, Spear, and Sword. When you bring them to him, he will ask you to rate how hard it was for you to find them. But first, it’s better to leave room for quest items, and the giant Korok Hestu standing under the Deku tree will help you with this. It can increase the number of weapons and shields you can carry with you.
Walton’s Treasure Hunt: Sword of the Woodlander
The first two items are not hard to find, although Walton only said that they are located above the face of the Deku Tree. According to Walton, there will be bark sticking out at the top of the tree at the coordinates 0415, 2174, 0242. That’s where the forest dweller’s sword stuck.
Walton’s Treasure Hunt: Spear of the Forest Dweller
The Spear is also close to Walton and easy to find. It is located at the coordinates 0405, 2195, 0229, directly in front of Walton behind a large branch.
When you find the first two items, take them to Walton and tell him if they were hard to find. After that, he will ask you to find the last item, which is the Forest Dweller’s Shield.
How to complete Finding the Pirate Hideout in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
Walton’s Scavenger Hunt: Woodlander’s Shield
The last element is located a little further than the previous elements, in the coordinates 0419, 2155, 0156. To find the shield, go down to the room where the Abyss is and several Koroks where you can buy various goods. There you will see the entrance to the Deku Tree ship, but do not go inside. There will be a Forest Dweller’s Shield above the door in the left corner. Take the shield and return to Walton.
When you bring the shield to Walton, he will ask you again if you had a hard time looking for it, and after answering, you will receive a well-deserved reward. This reward is the Forest Dweller’s Bow with an attack power of 15 and the ability to fire three arrows at once. You can also keep the items you were looking for. The sword has an attack power of 7 and the spear has 6, but they have their own characteristics. Forest Dweller’s Shield has no special stats, but its defense power is 30, and it is a very good choice, especially against lightning.
We hope that our guide has been useful to you and that you have found all the items that Walton hid.
