“As for the DC characters, I don’t know. I’ll let the fans tell me what they’d like me to do. I have nothing official to announce. And if he calls me, I answer him.
Chris Pratt continues to talk about his optimism for the future of DC with James Gunn at the helm, calling out the Guardians of the Galaxy director an author and the best person for the job:
“Oh my God. Oh man. Of course, I’ve talked to him. You know, I’m very happy for him, with his career developing,” he said. “I think DC is very lucky to have him in that position. It’s hard for I can imagine a better person for that role. He just loves comics. He’s so smart. He’s quite the author. We’re obviously super, super excited about guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 go out. It is truly a masterpiece.”
Despite there being no confirmation on whether or not Pratt will join the DCU in the future, it hasn’t stopped fans from unleashing a deluge of speculation on the internet. Many fans scoff at the idea that Pratt could play Superman in the next Superman: Legacywhile others seriously hope Pratt will star in the next Gold Reinforcement project. Only time will tell what role Pratt will take on in the new DCU, if any.

A confirmed aspect of guardians of the galaxy vol. 3 is the return of James Gunn as writer and director. Gunn was originally slated to direct the film after the success of the first two. guardians flicks, but was temporarily removed from the project due to controversial tweets that resurfaced from his past. However, after a public outcry from the guardians cast and fans, Gunn was reinstated in the film. vol. 3 it is his last Marvel movie due to his commitments with DC Studios.
