One at a time is the easiest way to download all your Google Photos to your PC or Mac, which may be the best strategy for you. To download a photo, simply open it, click the three dots in the top right corner, and then choose that option. However, downloading each image separately will be laborious unless you only have a few images in the cloud.
Selecting groups of photos to save simultaneously is an alternative. Select the check mark in the upper left corner of an image thumbnail while using Google Photos online. You can also highlight groups of photos between the first and last photos you select by holding down the Shift key while clicking.
Select the three vertical dots in the top right corner and then click “download” when you’ve made your decision. Google will group all the images you have selected so that they can be saved.
There is no option in Google Photos to download all your Google Photos at once. Use Google Takeout instead for the fastest route to a full backup. Opens in a new tab. All user data, including Keep notes, email messages, and their Chrome history, can be exported with the same tool.
