‘Gold Rush’ Veteran Todd Hoffman Returns for Season 2 of ‘Hoffman Family Gold’ on Discovery Channel

Todd Hoffmann, who first gained TV fame as the leader of a gold mining crew on “Gold Rush,” returned to Discovery Channel in 2022 with a new series, “Hoffman Family Gold.” On that show, Todd, his father, Jack, and his son, Hunter, once again went looking for gold, working in a mine in Alaska. “Hoffman Family Gold” returns for Season 2 in June, and this time, a father-son rivalry takes center stage.

In Season 2, Hoffman, who lives in Sandy, and his team return to Alaska’s Mammoth Valley mine, hoping to find 1,000 ounces of gold, which can be used to pay off a $750,000 debt, as the release states. Discovery Press.

But there is some family drama in the mix. In the trailer for the new season, Todd says, “If we can’t make it this year, there’s no excuse.” Later, his daughter Hunter says that he wants to operate his own washing plant.

“It took me by surprise how much he doesn’t want to work with me,” Todd says of his son. Hunter, meanwhile, says, “I don’t want to fight him anymore.”

Meanwhile, Todd says that there are things Hunter doesn’t know, for example, “I’m really in a bind financially.”

“Two floors, father, son,” says Todd. “There’s going to be a bit of competition.”

Here’s what Discovery’s ad says about what viewers can expect in Season 2: “This new season reveals the ups and downs of a truly multi-generational family business and the tumultuous battle between father and son to see who can extract the most of gold from the same piece of land.

And that’s not all. The statement continues: “However, there is a new challenge at the mine site this season: Todd’s son Hunter is tired of taking orders from his father and will stop at nothing to prove he has the experience and skills. to successfully run his own mine site, despite overwhelming pressures. Hunter goes all-in this season as he tries to outdo his father.”

You know what that means: tension: “Tensions will soar as the conflict between Hoffman’s father and son develops into a high-stakes showdown, all while battling wildfires, flooding, wild animals and an early winter in Alaska. Relationships will be put to the ultimate test as viewers find out if Hoffman’s family bond is worth his weight in gold.”

“Hoffman Family Gold” returns for Season 2 at 9 pm on Friday, June 16 on the Discovery Channel.
