Ghoulies is getting a 4K UHD release from the MVD Rewind Collection

Last year, Umbrella Entertainment gave the 1985 creature the feature Ghoulies (watch it HERE) Australian Blu-ray release that contained three different cults of the film, and also packaged it with its first sequel. Now MVD Rewind Collection has Announced what are they giving Ghoulies a special edition release too, and this one will be Blu-ray and 4K UHD! The street date is September 12.

Directed by Luca Bercovici from a script he wrote with Jefery Levy, the first Ghoulies has the following synopsis: As a child, Jonathan (Peter Liapis) is nearly killed by his father, Malcolm (Michael Des Barres), during a satanic ritual. After being saved and raised by Wolfgang (Jack Nance), who has kept him apprised of his background, Jonathan inherits Malcolm’s house and moves in with his girlfriend Rebecca (Lisa Pelikan). Through explorations of his home, he begins to unlock the secrets and latent powers contained in his new home. But there are other dark powers at work in the house more terrifying powers, more horrifying than anything you’ve ever seen. It is foretold that Evil will triumph and Ghoulies will walk the land…
