The match
Nebraska opens its 2022 home schedule on Saturday afternoon when the Huskers host the North Dakota Fighting Hawks at Memorial Stadium. Game time in Lincoln is scheduled for shortly after 2:30 p.m. CT with BTN providing television coverage.

Nebraska heads into the contest with an 0-1 record following a 31-28 season-opening loss against Northwestern last Saturday at the Aer language Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland. Nebraska twice led by 11 points against the Wildcats, but Northwestern rallied in the second half for a three-point victory. Nebraska’s offense showed its explosiveness in the loss, amassing 465 yards, including 355 passing yards.

After opening with a Big Ten Conference game overseas, the Huskers will now settle into their home environment at Memorial Stadium over the next month. The matchup with North Dakota is the first of four straight games at Lincoln. Following the UND contest, Nebraska will welcome non-conference opponents Georgia Southern (Sept. 10) and Oklahoma (Sept. 17) to Lincoln before opening their local Big Ten schedule against Indiana on Oct. 1. .

North Dakota will open its 2021 season on Saturday at Lincoln. The Fighting Hawks posted a 5-6 record last season against one of the toughest FCS schedules in the country. North Dakota’s five losses in FCS last season were all by seven points or fewer, with each of the setbacks coming against the 2021 FCS playoff contenders.

Nebraska and North Dakota have met only once before, with the Huskers opening the 1961 season with a 33-0 shutout of North Dakota at Memorial Stadium.
