Will season 2 suffer without Emilio Estévez?

It’s never exactly a good thing every time a main star walks out of a TV series. Although there are exceptions to the rule, such as The Conners becoming a successful sitcom after killing off Roseanne Barr’s character, it seems that losing main characters often takes its toll on a TV show’s viewership. Sometimes it can be hard for viewers to get motivated to watch a new season if they can’t shake the disappointment of losing a major character. Time will tell how season 2 fare when the new episodes premiere in September.

One thing that might get people to tune back in would be bringing in more originals from the 1990s movie series. The first season brought in several former child stars, who are now playing the adult versions of their characters. However, there were still some key favorites that weren’t included, such as Shaun Weiss, Joshua Jackson and Kenan Thompson. It’s possible that some or all of these stars will appear in season 2 and that Disney has been saving this for a surprise.

The first season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is streaming on Disney+. Season 2 will arrive on the streaming platform on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
