FURIOSA set photos show Chris Hemsworth on top of a huge monster truck and we finally get to know who he’s playing

anticipation for Mad Max: Fury Road cleave furious it’s accelerating in a big way, and another round of photos has now found its way online (via SFFGazette.com). Shared on social media, these shots offer a closer look at Chris Hemsworth’s villainous character, though the consensus now is that he’s probably playing the Warlord Dementus and No Immortal Joe.

On film, Anya Taylor-Joy’s Furiosa looks ready to find herself caught in the middle of a war between the two tyrants in this prequel, and the leader of Hemsworth’s Biker Horde certainly looks formidable. A warlord from the Wasteland who kidnaps the future Imperator Furiosa from the Green Place, Dementus’ forces arrive at the Citadel and come into conflict with Immortan Joe.

Regardless of who he is Thor: love and thunder star is playing, he certainly looks at home in that huge monster truck.

It’s quite a transformation for Hemsworth, although Anya Taylor-Joy was also recently photographed on the set of furious like the main character of the movie, and she also looks a bit different than her usual self.

The actor seems to be enjoying taking on antagonistic roles, as the Mad Max: Fury Road follow the prequel spider head, the Netflix movie that saw him play a full-fledged villain. Dementus certainly looks a far cry from the MCU’s God of Thunder, anyway, and we can’t wait to see some official footage of this one.

“As the world falls, the young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus.” read a recently published synopsis. “Traveling through the Wasteland, they come across the Citadel presided over by The Immortan Joe. As the two Tyrants battle for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials while mustering the means to find her way home.”
