There is a new Fortnite update going live today, August 30, 2022 at 9:50 PM. Here are the first patch notes for the fifth major patch of Chapter 3 Season 3.
It’s been almost three months since Epic Games released Fortnite chapter 3 season 3. From what we’ve seen over the past few months, it hasn’t been well received for the most part.
However, the release of the Dragon Ball x Fortnite collaboration changed the minds of gamers with many stating that it feels like a new season since the last collaboration was released.
Not only did we have purchasable cosmetics in the item shop, but two mythic items were added to the game along with challenges and a couple of POIs that were added to the chapter 3 season 3 map.
When a season comes to an end, players begin to cut back on the hours they put into the game, and this season is no different. Chapter 3 Season 4 is expected to release in three weeks, but we still have more content before the current season ends.
Epic Games announced that the 21.50 Fortnite update will be released today. According to data miners, this is the penultimate update of the season. We also know some of the content that will come in the update 21.50 of Fortnite.
Fortnite Server Scheduled Downtime: August 30, 2022
As with any new Fortnite update, Epic Games announced when the servers would be down for scheduled maintenance on the official State of Fortnite Twitter account. Servers will be down for maintenance at 4am ET (9am BST)with matchmaking disabled thirty minutes earlier.

Epic never indicates when the Fortnite servers will be back online, but we expect them to be back up by 6am ET (11am BST). We will update this section of the article when the servers are back online.
21.50 Fortnite Update Patch Notes: What’s New Today
Fortnite leakers always point out the new content we can expect in a new Fortnite update, and patch 21.50 is no different. According to popular leaker Hypex, we can expect Pump Shotgun to return, although this might be limited to Late Game Arena, which will also return at 21.50.
We’ll also be getting a new crew pack that will be released on Wednesday, August 31. It is very likely that there will be more leaks and hints about the content and theme of the next season. Epic usually adds the starter pack for the new season in the fifth season update, so expect it to leak this morning.
