The first look at the new Jodie Comer movie The end we started from has been revealed.
Based on the novel of the same name by Megan Hunter, the film is being directed by BAFTA winner Mahalia Belo and written by SuccessionIt’s Alice Birch.
Benedict Cumberbatch, previously revealed as an executive producer, has also been confirmed to star in the film.

Katherine Waterston and Mark Strong are among the other stars, along with Joel Fry, Gina McKee and Nina Sosanya.
The end we started from it is described as a “powerful and hopeful story about the trials and joys of new motherhood amid devastating floods engulfing the City of London”.
The plot synopsis reads: “When an environmental crisis sees London engulfed by floodwaters, a young family is torn apart in chaos. As a woman and her newborn try to find their way home, the profound novelty of motherhood enters the scene”. sharp focus in this dystopian depiction of family survival and hope”.
Comer said of her role, “My character is both ordinary and extraordinary, both her personal life and the world around her have been turned upside down and she is facing the unknown at every turn.
“Her story is about the quiet heroics of determination, devotion, bravery and love.”

The one-man show, written by Susie Miller, will move to Broadway in the United States.
