First images of the new Joaquin Phoenix movie, NapoleonIt’s here, and it’s amazing.
Napoleon marks the first collaboration for Ridley Scott and Phoenix. The upcoming movie is described as a historical action epic that will revolve around the story of the incumbent French military commander, Napoleon Bonaparte.
During this year’s CinemaCon last April, Sony film director Tom Rothman confirmed that Napoleon will have a “robust movie window and full-speed marketing campaign before moving to Apple TV+.”
During this year’s Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, footage of Ridley Scott Napoleon starring Academy Award winner Joaquin Phoenix was released.

The short footage shows Phoenix in character as French conquistador Napoleon Bonaparte aboard his ship:

At CinemaCon in April, via The Hollywood Reporter (THR), the first images of Napoleon was screened to attendees.
The footage shows a scene on a snowy battlefield, with Napoleon leading enemy troops onto a frozen lake and then proceeding to fire a barrage of cannons as the soldiers tumble into the water.
The main character Phoenix then stands from the top of a hill, witnessing the carnage unfold. THR also noted that Phoenix did not appear to be speaking with a French accent in the film.
Napoleon is described as a “an original and personal look at the origins of Napoleon and his rapid and ruthless rise to emperor, seen through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine (a character played by Vanessa Kirby)” .

When will Apple Studios release the Napoleon trailer?

The fact that Apple Studios has already unveiled the short clip to the public could indicate that a trailer is coming online soon.
