Recent widespread zero-day commitments and the looming White House 72-hour packet capture mandate drive the need for increased performance from the core of the network to the edge.
AUCKLAND, New Zealand & AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Noting the importance of greater visibility before, during and after a cybersecurity incident, endace today announced a new series of next-generation EndaceProbe platforms for continuous high-speed packet capture at the network edge and branch offices.
As recent cyber threats have shown, attacks can come from anywhere and organizations need to protect the entire network. Continuous network logging and statewide network visibility, in all types of environments, give organizations the ability to determine if and when a data breach has occurred. Always-on packet capture at 100% lossless line rate and fast global search provides teams with reliable forensic evidence for quick and conclusive incident resolution.
The new 2100-series EndaceProbes provide up to 40 Gbps sustained recording, with up to 120 TB of effective packet storage in a compact 1RU form factor. They are specifically designed for network edge locations such as remote and branch offices. The new models dramatically increase packet capture performance and storage depth. They also quadruple the hosting capacity of previous models, allowing customers to deploy third-party network security and performance monitoring solutions.
“Endace is enabling even greater network visibility by expanding the power and speed of packet capture in a compact, cost-effective EndaceProbe designed specifically for edge locations,” says Shamus McGillicuddy, research vice president, network management at Enterprise Management Associates. “Organizations gain flexibility and scalability from the increased hosting capacity and performance of these two new models. This allows them to host analytics solutions centrally, without having to ‘mount and stack’ multiple single-function hardware devices.”
“SoC teams need to quickly understand the scope and severity of cyber threats affecting their global networks. Bad actors look for any weakness and target every corner of the company, to the limit,” says Cary Wright, vice president of products at Endace. “The EndaceProbe 2100 series dramatically increases a SoC team’s ability to defend branch offices and perimeter locations. Weeks or months of recorded network history and rapid global search from a single location enable SoC teams to quickly understand and remediate even the most serious threats.”
The 2100-series EndaceProbes will be available to customers beginning in October through Endace sales and the company’s network of solution providers and channels. Contact [email protected]
