Actor Vikram’s latest action thriller, Cobra, written and directed by R Ajay Gnanamuthu, has hit screens amid high expectations from fans and moviegoers. The film received mixed to positive reviews upon its theatrical release on August 31. Chiyaan Vikram is being praised for another defiant act that he has done for Cobra. The actor’s performance and various outfits are well received, with many critics calling it an award-worthy performance.

KGF fame Srinidhi Shetty was cast as the female lead in the film, which has an elaborate cast of actors from Tamil and Malayalam cinema. While Vikram is getting lots of praise, the film doesn’t have much new other than an entertaining soundtrack by AR Rahman. It is said that the script of the movie is not impressive and the addition of elements like songs makes it a bit boring.

Cobra stars KS Ravikumar, Roshan Mathew, Anandaraj, Robo Shankar, Miya George, Mrinalini Ravi, Meenakshi Govindarajan, John Vijay, Sarjano Khalid, Shaji Chen, Padmapriya Janakiraman, Kaniha, Mamukkoya, Poovaiyar, Renuka, Mohammad Ali Baig, Sindhu Sriram and Manikanda Rajan, among others, in key roles.

SS Lalit Kumar financed Cobra under his 7 Screen Studio banner with a budget of around Rs 90 Crore. Harish Kannan worked as the film’s cameraman, and John Abraham handled the editing.
