Citadel Season 2 Launch Updates, Cast, Plot & More

He Citadel The season 1 finale left us wanting more of this twisted spy thriller that changes the plot with every episode. When we started this journey with Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, they were former lovers who had crossed paths again on a train on a mission. While fighting their target and his minions, they learned that they had been double-crossed and the train was blown up. In an effort to safeguard the security of their agency, the two were backed up and had their memories wiped.

In the eight years since that mission, they had gone on to live separate lives, in separate countries without knowing the other existed. Then Bernard found Mason, pulled him out of the life he led as Kyle Conroy, loving father and husband, and thrust him into a high-octane adventure with dire consequences for the world. He also reunited him with Nadia, who unlike him, recovered her memories at the beginning of the first season.

Over the course of six episodes, audiences were introduced to Mason and Nadia’s love story, Manticore’s goals channeled through Big Bad Dahlia Archer, and Mason’s past that set this entire story in motion. Now the second season of the series is on everyone’s minds as we wait for more of this exciting story. This is what we know.

citadel season 2 plot

A synopsis has been released, however Season 1 ended with Mason regaining his memories and finding out that he was the one who betrayed the Citadel. He also knows that Dahlia Archer is his mother, and turned the Citadel in because she said she would hold them responsible for her father’s death by taking the information to a UK high court for an investigation. Instead, he decided to decimate the spy agency in a bid for revenge.

With his memories, Mason knows that he is still married to Nadia and that they have a daughter named Asha. However, he is also married to Abby, who was once a spy for the agency he backed to protect Nadia, and they share a daughter named Hendrix. To further complicate matters, no one but Mason and Dahlia know that he was the mole that cost the agency everything.

When the series picks up again in Season 2, the team will likely start trying to locate Dahlia. She faked her death to get the Manticore off her back, but season 1 ended before we learned of Bernard’s whereabouts. She needed him, and her revenge isn’t over yet, even if she has to adapt to continue this long war she’s started.
