The long-awaited third season of Netflix The Wizard it’s almost upon us, and ahead of the show, star Freya Allan says that Ciri will be on an emotional ride in the new season.
In an interview with Netflix ahead of the release of The Witcher season 3, Allan spoke about Ciri’s mindset in the new season. According to the actress, Ciri will be on an “emotional journey” in season 3 and will grow throughout the season.
“It is a very emotional journey for Ciri and her development,” Allan said. “At the beginning of that season, she still feels like a young teenager and at the end, she really seems like she’s grown up.”

When it comes to her abilities, Ciri will continue to grow in that aspect as well. Allan specifically mentioned that Ciri wants to learn magic, but that she sometimes gets frustrated and “feels so hopeless about it.”
“Ciri wants to be able to learn magic. she is [just] starting to get frustrated because she feels so hopeless,” Allan said. “She doubts herself in every way actually.”
What do we know about The Witcher season 3?
The Wizard Season 3 Volume 1, which will contain episodes one through five, will be released on the platform on June 29. After that, Volume 2, consisting of episodes six through eight, will debut on July 27.

The upcoming third season of The Witcher will be Henry Cavill’s last, as the actor will leave the series and Liam Hemsworth will replace him in the role of Geralt of Rivia. That being said, Cavill will apparently be getting a “heroic send-off” in season three.
Based on the stories and novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher is created and executive produced by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, who also serves as showrunner. Sean Daniel and Jason Brown of the Sean Daniel Company serve as executive producers, along with Platige Image’s Tomek Baginski and Jarek Sawko.
