Chicago’s schedule was tough early on, and that has the White Sox a couple of pegs lower in the standings than they should be.

Detroit is 8-4 in 1-run games, usually an indicator of regression when not aligned with overall winning percentage, and the back of its bullpen enters overused territory on Friday.

Chicago’s bullpen has done well in taking ground balls and avoiding hard contact. His .318 BABIP and 14.9% HR/FB rate are indicators that his 5.21 ERA is headed for better days.

Lynn has really been hit on the margins. A couple of highly respected expected ERA numbers put him at perhaps 2 1/2 runs better than her surface ERA shows.

Chicago is thin, but it’s only a viable leverage play at -145 or better. Otherwise, APPROVE.
